Hi I’m Shea! I attended American Institute and I’ve now been practicing massage therapy for 5 years. I love what I do because I get to help others relax and relieve their tension. My goal is to create a therapeutic, safe, and comfortable environment for clients to unwind. I specialize in deep tissue but I use a variety of different techniques and pressures to achieve your wellness goals.

Lisa has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1998 (CT Lic#1858) graduating from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy Westport, CT.
Always learning and exploring, she went on to earn a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University, a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification from Fresh Yoga (New Haven, CT), and continuing education in Oncology Massage while working at Smilow Cancer Hospital(Yale New Haven Health), Esalen Massage with Vicki Topp(Esalen Institute), Trager Approach Bodywork with Deane Juhan (Kripalu Institute), Danis Bois Method(Omega Institute), and Reiki II Usui Shiski Ryoho (Griffin Hospital).
While working with clients, Lisa combines "hands on" massage/bodywork techniques, with her knowledge of the somatic-psychological interplay, to customize each massage session to the uniqueness and expectations of her client.
Lisa's intention with each client is to facilitate a felt sense of wholeness, embodiment and calm, because she believes healing happens from within and a massage therapy session can bring you there.
I look forward to meeting you and exploring a massage therapy session together.
Outside of her time at Massage on Whitney, Lisa is hiking with dogs, gardening, tending her bee hives, and planning her next outdoor camping adventure.
